The Scottish Government challenged the initial Section 35 order because the reforms were supported by a majority of MSPs.

In an unrelated revelation, Charles has been profiting from the deaths of thousands of people who failed to write a will. And this week the monarch travelled to Dubai, undoubtedly by private jet, to lecture the Cop28 conference on climate change.

In the same week that non-MP David Cameron was made foreign secretary, the Supreme Court ruled that the government's plan to send refugees to Rwanda was illegal. This did not deter the Tories, who promptly announced emergency legislation to make it legal. Apparently Rwanda is now a safe place.
