The artist’s comment: ‘Lord Digby Jones – a *Labour* peer – proposed building a new £100m Royal Yacht Britannia to ‘boost morale’ in the UK. Meanwhile back on planet earth, there was a growing sense that Westminster policy was being made up on the fly and that the whole edifice of society could start to crumble at any time.’
