The artist’s comment: ‘Keir Starmer denied that he was purging the Labour Party of left-wing and pro-Palestine candidates, but the evidence was pretty clear. Most notable was Faiza Shaheen, the candidate for Chingford and Woodford Green, who was deselected for liking a tweet that included a satirical video by Jon Stewart suggesting that anyone questioning Israel’s actions would be shouted down.’
