ORIGINAL ARTWORK: Hold The Front Page

£300.00

Genuine one-off collage artwork signed by Greg Moodie. This multi-layered piece was photographed and published online on November 29th 2021. It was created using traditional cut and paste techniques with an overall page size of 425 x 560mm. Rare and highly collectable.

Contains an array of collage material and a subliminal message written in UV ink around the perimeter.

The particular story features the potatoheads of the press along with Alex Cole-Hamilton, Jackson Carlaw, Anas Sarwar and Douglas Ross.

The artist’s comment: ‘Just seven months on from May’s election, which the SNP won with a record share of the vote, the First Minister was quizzed about whether she would serve a full five-year term. Unsurprisingly, the answer was affirmative but it seemed controversial to both journalists and opposition MSPs, with screeds of column inches and much wailing. LibDem Alex Cole-Hamilton said “it’s time Scotland had an alternative”. Conservative Jackson Carlaw said it was “bad news for Scotland”. There was further uproar the following day when it was reported that Nicola Sturgeon refused to say whether she would stand for re-election in 2026.
