ORIGINAL ARTWORK: Our Friends Up There

Genuine one-off collage artwork signed by Greg Moodie. This multi-layered piece was photographed (with additional cartoonist’s fingers) and published in The National on January 20th 2020. It was created using traditional cut and paste techniques with an overall page size of 425 x 560mm. Rare and highly collectable.

Contains a wide array of collage material and a subliminal message written in UV ink around the perimeter.

The particular story features Scotland’s only Labour MP Ian Murray, alongside possible Corbyn successors Lisa Nandy and Jess Phillips.

‘Labour leadership hopefuls Jess Phillips and Lisa Nandy made some ill-advised comments regarding Scottish independence. Nandy said we could take a lesson from Catalonia on how to deal with nationalists; Phillips described the SNP as a threat to opportunity and equality for working people – both clearly big vote-winners in Scotland. Even their sole remaining MP Ian Murray used his deputy leadership bid to say “Please don’t come up to Scotland and talk about things that you’re not quite sure what you’re talking about.”‘

Dimensions: 425mm x 560mm. Media: Layered papers and mixed media pasted on heavyweight construction paper.
