The artist’s comment: ‘The police arrested many peaceful protesters during the coronation of King Charles and erected giant barriers to osbcure anti-monarchy banners. We were all asked to make this promise: “I swear that I will pay true allegiance to Your Majesty, and to your heirs and successors according to law. So help me God.” Scotland mostly just laughed.’
