The artist’s comment: ‘When it was revealed that the UK Covid-19 Inquiry’s official Twitter account followed just one other account, @DownWithTheSNP, its agenda became somewhat clearer. Nicola Sturgeon was crucified for deleting her covid Whatsapp messages, but when Scottish Secretary Alister Jack admitted to doing the same, the response was muted. Jack said, “Scotland office’s role is to be the defender, the safeguarder of devolution”, but also said the UK Government is legislating to centralise response to future emergencies without input from devolved administrations.’
